Great atmosphere but don't expect this to be a traditional restaurant. Food is different ( 'Portugese tapas') and service where you are not just another customer.
Keep in mind that's cash only.

I saw this place mentioned in some blog of where to eat in Faro, and glad we came here for dinner.

The restaurant is very cozy and has a "grandmother's house" vibes about it. There are nice decorations all over, the kitchen is half open so you can see staff cooking/prepping.

The staff were very friendly, attentive, fun, happy to help with choices.
The menu fairly decently sized.

Food was lovely, they had a very homely feel about it. It didn't feel pretentious - very simple and delicious.

We managed to get a table without booking, cause we got there as they opened, but seemed to be full by the end of our dinner and several people were turned down without reservation, however all of them booked for next day. So worth booking here.

We selected a combination of vegan and fish dishes for the restaurant’s birthday special where there was a large table to encourage meeting new people and sharing dishes. We were spoilt with all their best options, local fish, well flavoured vegetables.
Duoro valley wine pairings.

Excellent food. Our favourite was the spicy fish soup. Small open kitchen but we were serve promptly.
Only con is they only take cash payments when we went.

My first choice for home-style food! Many tasty dishes for diverse preferences, including good vegetarian choices. Quite unusual and innovative combinations, - definitely something I would like to try at home. The style of the establishment corresponds to the menu and is almost like a small museum. The service is very good, the portions are quite large and prices are very democratic
