Alphonso's

This is a very warm and family feeling restaurant. Not fancy, very good service, friendly staff. We had spaghetti tomato and ham for the kids, golden sea brim and the Portuguese house steak and a mixed salad. The starter with olives and garlic
carrots was exquisite. The food was more than enough for two hungry adults and two hungry kids:). The house chocolate pudding was very appreciated as well.
We entered by chance in this restaurant when looking for another highly praised restaurant nearby that was empty.

Went there 3 times during 2 week stay in Quarteira. Good quality seafood at reasonable price.

Despite the late hour (they were closing in 30 minutes), we were welcomed with a smile and great kindness. The waitress was very friendly and spoke perfect French, which made the experience even more pleasant. The meal was delicious. A big thank you for your warm welcome and professionalism. I highly recommend this restaurant!

We ate here 4 times during our recent 10 night stay in Quarteira, not sure why we haven't been before on our previous visits, our loss!

Our first visit was on a particularly appalling evening (one of many this stay!) . We received a very warm welcome from the staff, there were only 2 other diners present, but within a few minutes several more tables had arrived.

Delicious wholesome food, a wonderful dish of fresh vegetables, good service and a lovely atmosphere.

It is perfectly situated for anyone staying at the Dom Jose Hotel as we were. We returned another 3 times and each visit was as good or better than the first. We will definitely return on our next visit, thank you so much for looking after us so well.
