ATO Restaurante

Incredible food, best we had in Faro! Menu changes here weekly so it's whatever is local and fresh. Everything we had was special. This is only a small place with like 10 - 15 tables. The chef will come and check on you at times to see how everything is and even clear away your table. This is a unique spot if you are in to your food.

Nice atmosphere with the really nice and calm waitress. The food was amazing with the different flavors and tastes. We enjoyed it so much.

I had crispy fish cheeks with green sauce and skate wing for main. Skate is a fish I love and is difficult to find in UK. This was cooked perfectly and the tangy buttery caper sauce and accompaniments really set it off.

Absolutely outstanding!!!! Without hesitation, this is our #1 restaurant in the Algarve and in the top 5 during our whole trip (Lisbon, Porto, Sao Miguel, and Madeira). We stopped in for a late lunch and were the only ones in the restaurant. The service was exceptional (shout out to the two chefs and the service “chef”). We had ordered the sourdough bread with accompaniments, tomato rosa, braised harissa aubergine, local prawns, and Toucinho de Céu (dessert). Every dish was nicely presented and tasted amazing! The wine selection was also wonderful.
I consider myself a food snob and would definitely place this in the category of Michelin quality service and food. Thank you for a delicious meal!

An outstanding restaurant in Faro! The service was warm, attentive, and very knowledgeable. The food was simply amazing, beautifully presented, and paired perfectly with their excellent wine selection. I highly recommend ATO to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience.
