Bar sangria

I hesitate to call this a hidden gem with how close it its to the main strip. But it feels like it regardless, a little hole in the wall.

Cheap drinks, great vibes, and a beautiful bar make this a must visit spot when in the old town.

And everyone else posting reviews is right, the caipirinha in incredible!

After so many disappointing cocktails and bars this is the place to be.
Best caipirinia I have had in a bar.
The mister who prepares the cocktails, made us the drinks even though he was with crunches. We ordered drinks twice and the cocktail was one better than the other.
We will come back before leaving Algarve because a cocktail at 6€ made with so good quality alcohol and so much love and care, is impossible to find elsewhere.

From the pictures it does not seal like much, but this place is a prime example of “don’t judge a book by its cover”

I don’t know why this place isn’t called “Caipirinha” instead as this is the best caipirinha that I have ever had.

I work as a high level cocktail bartender in London and I would like to truly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for an authentic Cuban-style experience. The drinks are made by two gentlemen who make caipirinhas using an old, classic way - with a huge muddler & an old ice crasher. The Liquor (high class cachaca) is poured not with a jigger, but with an eye judgement.

Everything in this cocktail was right. Amount of sugar, liquor & fresh, muddled lime.

When we were drinking our cocktails like 10 people went inside to congratulate the bar owner of his caipirinha skills.

A true gem in the heart of the city.

Music is not so loud, toilets are clean, two men who run the place are just the nicest.

Please go there and experience this cocktail!

The best caipirinha I've ever tasted. We will definitely return for some more. Lovely authentic bar and great service. Our favourite in Albuferia so far.

Best bar in Albufeira, bar none! Legendary Caipirinhas served by the effervescent Jose ... the way he presses those limes is something to behold!

Atmospheric, authentic and awesome, we haven't been for a number of years now but, Bar Sangria, we will be back!
