This is a hidden gem in the old part of Quarteira run by a lovely Portuguese couple. She is the chef and he is front of house. They always have about approximately
4 specials and a tapas menu. The best home made chips. Large portions. Tonight we had Cod gratin and duck rice and 1/2 litre house wine and coffee. 40 euros. Note cash only but please seek this place out you will not be disappointed.

A beautiful haven a little off the beaten track of the promenade. Lovely inside. Great food. Cooked beautifully. We had prato do dia and a coffee. The home made chips (I'm English) were better than my mums. Delicious steak. Pleasant white wine. We ate outside under parasols in the warmth after a wonderful ride cycling downhill from Boliqueme station. Enjoyed the bike conversations with our host. Another secret biker back in the day. Highly reccomend.

Best dining experience so far on this holiday. I like the atmosphere. I like the food. The staff the awesome! Hence the 5*. I would upgrade the toilet though but this review is not about the toilet😉 it is 18 Sep and around 10 tables have diners whereas other restaurant’s are quite. Maybe diner’s come due to the review, maybe not. Visit and find it out yourself. To the Staff, Obrigado!

We bumped into when walking around and it was a great finding. Best place we tried in the whole Algarve.
They had 4 different dishes out of the menu, we tried 2... one Portuguese soup and top sirloin. To that ww had some tapas, smashed eggs amazing, chicken wings and some other.
All the food was delicious and the bill was really low for foos and more for the drinks.
I will go back as soon as I can.

We can truly recommend this place for anyone on visit in Quarteira. During our two week visit we had dinner here three times trying out the tapas and the fish dishes (sea bass, dorada) and looked in envy to fellow visitors having the meat dishes. As stated in the title, beware of French translations. Based on the French map we had ordered fried squid expecting to have slices of squid with breadcrumbs baked in the fryer. What we received is a dish of whole mini octopuses! The tapas and desserts as a whole were average in flavor.

Overall the food was very good, however, disappointed to find that what was originally offered as the “menu” was actually a short part of the menu offered. Seemed to be the British guest menu, consisting of 4 items. Seeing dishes later brought out to other tables which would have been preferred.
