Amazing viewpoint. It was super windy and cloudy but waiting not too long and it cleared to light up the caldera and really impress the senses.

Favorite hike so far.
7km exactly.
Took us 2.5h
Sunny Day with some cloud at the Western end. Previous days were rainy.
It was rated easy, we don't think it is.
Steep sections up and down, very narrow sections, except for the eastern side, it was quite muddy and wet. It's windy.
But the views are amazing and worth the hike.
Bring water, jacket.

Spectacular view, this place is a must. It takes approximately 2 hours to walk around the entire perimeter of the crater. It takes 25 mins to reach the view point from Horta by car. No tickets needed.

It's one of the most stunning craters on Faial Island, featuring a small crater within it that is incredibly beautiful. I highly recommend visiting in the summer when the weather is pleasant, and the air is fresh with the delightful scent of hydrangea blossoms. There’s a straightforward and safe walking trail that encircles the crater, measuring approximately 8 kilometers in length.
