Great spot for proper local food. This place just had locals in here and got really packed. Small menu with traditional, no nonsense food. The grilled baby mackerel were amazing. Cheap as chips too!

Look no further if you wanna have a decent Portuguese meal that even comes with the best service, our waiter spoke great English and was extremely attentive.
We decided for the grilled squid and tuna in tomato sauce both dishes came with boiled potatoes or chips and some veggies, ordered an extra mixed salad on the side and enjoyed 2x0,5l housewine (white and red) that both were perfectly matching the food.
The mousse au chocolat I had was also rich&yummy. Portions were big. We went there on a Monday night at around 20:00 and it was packed with locals.
Our bill was €44 for all the food I mentioned.

Great local place. Food is fresh and delicious, staff is super friendly and the prices are very economic. If you’re looking for a good local experience, go here.

It’s authentic Portuguese food and like it much more than fusion fashion

I just had grilled/fried octopus in a tavern but it did not taste like Portuguese so I came here then skate stewed with garlic was amazing.

A year ago we went to this restaurant and I could still remember what they served us and how friendly and knowledgeable the people working there were. I still dream about the grilled fish! Unapologetically simple & traditional food but packed with flavours. We went there twice!

The location of the terrace is not great!! However, if you overlook that, the meal was very good; my spouse ate a fish that we did not know in France, it was just succulent. For my part, I had the soup of the day; it was very good. Very typical place A place where I am able to return without any…

The best budget-friendly restaurant I've tried in the Algarve, the fish is simple and well-cooked, a great flavor. I returned twice and would return again if I didn't have to go home! Open for lunch and dinner...simple, family-friendly place! I highly recommend it!

Simple and delicious restaurant. Waiters who have been around for a long time and love what they do, the same goes for the cooks. They respect the food and its original flavors, providing a simple but authentic gastronomic experience. Definitely worth returning to see what else they have to offer. …

Our first meal in Faro, and we loved this busy, no-frills local restaurant. On the advice of our accommodation host we both had the raia alhada (soupy skate stew with garlic, potatoes and greens), which came in a big pot and was filling and delicious. (Can also recommend the house white!) There wer…

We went here in the recommendation of our hotel staff. Loved the buzz of the place with lots of local customers. The waiter was very helpful and showed us the fish available telling us how they were cooked. Chose scabbard and the skate stew ( raia alhada) . Both were excellent although the stew wou…
