Castelo de Tavira is a real hidden gem. The site is beautifully maintained, with a charming and peaceful garden full of lovely flowers and plants that create a very relaxing atmosphere.
As you walk up the stairs through the old ruins, you’re rewarded with stunning views over Tavira and the surrounding area. The mix of history, greenery, and scenery makes the visit especially memorable.
Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.

Beautiful remains with a small but gorgeous botanical garden. Great views from the walls! Next door is a Michelin star restaurant btw

Very nice place to visit. Laid back and free! It was nice to climb the ramparts and take in the views across the city. Interesting gardens and arboretum - with info on trees and plants. Would say this is a must do item to visit whilst in Tavira.

Smell the entrancing orange blossom from the town's high point, with a fantastic view over the town from all angles. The gardens are very well kept and beautiful, and labelled so you know what you're looking at. And it's free! Lovely hour spent there chilling out and reflecting
