I have been visiting Chicken George since I was just a little girl as my family regularly frequent Carvoeiro. I recently visited again this June, and it’s still as good as ever.
If you are looking for authentic peri peri chicken, George’s is unmatched. Prices are extremely fair as well. My only recommendation is that if you are visiting as a group and are fairly hungry, order a couple extra portions of chicken - it’s worth it.

We got a taxi from Monte dourado. It was So worth it.
Friendly staff and a relaxed, delicious and easy meal.
My kids played with Joana who was so kind and shared her toys with them.
The food was so tasty. Some of the best Chicken Wings I have ever had.

I’ve literally just finished my meal which we drove over for as a family takeaway. Easily the best chicken piri piri meal I’ve had in Carvoeiro! Most others I’ve tried haven’t come close to how good chicken George is. Highly recommended!

Chicken overcooked to the point of dry meat. Scrawny chicken as well. Wings were completely overcooked as well. Such a shame for a long standing chicken business

Always great here... it is what is a family business serving chicken and chips. You sit in a court ta type area (i dont if thats what it should be called), and it feels traditional. Yes you do have to wait a little bit.
Try the chicken wing starters, they are spicy
