Cletonina

Cletonina proved to be a true gem of Italian dining. I ordered the prawn, garlic and chilli pasta and I can say without hesitation that it was the best I’ve ever eaten! The spaghetti was cooked to perfection, the prawns were fresh and succulent and the garlic was finely shaved, adding just the right depth of flavour. While the chilli was initially a little subtle for my taste, once I asked for their special chilli-infused olive oil, the dish transformed into a heavenly balance of heat and richness—an absolute delight.

The service was fast, attentive and genuinely friendly. The wine was a pleasant surprise too, although I am sceptical of Portuguese whites, the glass I was served paired beautifully with the meal and was not like the watered down versions I got in Lisbon.

Overall, Cletonina offers an exceptional dining experience and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for quality Italian cuisine—and that’s saying something as I’m not easily impressed.

Really enjoyed the food here. It is a bit hidden, it’s next to a dessert shop, the restaurant is up stairs. We really enjoyed the drinks. The staff here were nice. Thank you.

You need to have cash as there are problems with card payments. And pay close attention when ordering your dishes. “Accidentally” or not, they may bring you another order!

Food was exquisite, the best monkfish I've ever tasted. My friends had chicken kebab and it was delicious, too. I highly recommend this restaurant for its food quality, staff was also good and punctual in the service. We came the night afterwards, too, I had Spaghetti with seafood and it was fabulous. My friends had pepper steak and again chicken kebab and were very delighted with their choice. Portuguese white wine to pair the spaghetti & seafood was a perfect match. If you spend some days in Portimão, definitely go to Cletonina and won't be disappointed!

Great experience, we both had an amazing pasta. We liked them more than Dolce Vita's pastas. The ice cream (coming from their shop downstairs, go there too for a refreshing scoop of ice!) is super tasty. The service is fast and friendly, one of the waitors was so happy that he instantly brought a smile on our faces. Great view too. The only minus is the somewhat dry garlic bread for starters. Will definitely return!
