D’alena Restaurante

We had an amazing experience at D’alena from start to finish. The front of house (Vinny & Lisa) were kind, welcoming & fun! The dining area was beautiful and the views were great as well. Our drinks were excellent-my Mom had the best Manhattan that she has ever had on her travels! The food was brilliant from couvert, starters, mains and desserts. My parents both enjoyed the chef’s menu for the day which included a choice between 2 starters, 2 mains, a dessert and cafe. We felt well taken care of and we left with happy bellies! We will definitely be back!

Stylish restaurant with a lovely view and warm, friendly staff. Delicious food, which is particularly good value if you order from the set menu of chef's recommendations. The restaurant isn't cheap but it is a very nice environment with linen tablecloths, napkins and decent glassware, not to mention a talented chef. It was a very enjoyable way to spend a Sunday lunchtime and we will definitely be back.

We just moved this week to the area, although the second time of living long term in the Algarve. We poured over reviews of local country restaurants to find a nice place for our first Sunday lunch back in our beloved Portugal. Boy are we glad we picked D’Alena….what a great find! It was a damp grey day, but it was full on the indoor terrace, and with fantastic valley views from this gorgeous setting. The food was fabulous, the service was charming and funny from the delightful Vinny, and his co host Lisa was also charming and engaging. We didn’t get the name of our first waiter but he was also polite and welcoming. We can’t wait to revisit.

What a find!
The restaurant sits along the bluff overlooking Goldra, Loule, and further out to the sea.
The restaurant is chic, upscale with white linen tablecloths, and a very panoramic wall of windows.
Vinny, our server, was a gem. He explained the a la carte menu, offered his recommendations, and informed us of the weekly fixed price specials including a starter, entree, and dessert, all for 25€.
The house provided us with a complimentary spring roll. And, at the end of the meal, a bowl of small sweets to enjoy while drinking our cafe. They even provided a lemoncello to my wife and me a medronho.
Try the sauteed shrimp as a starter. Be sure to use the pao to dip into the sauce for an extra treats.
My wife had a perfectly prepared steak while I had the lamb shank. Exquisite.
The quality, setting, and service were simply perfect.
The current incarnation of the restaurant has only been since August. Please give it a shot...it won't disappoint.

This is just an incredible place. From the parking lot the view takes your breath away.
The outdoor terrace is inviting for dining al fresco and having a smoke with a drink.
The decor on the way in is tasteful, cozy and modern.
The view from the main dining area is 180 degrees and has outdoor canopies to cut the hot summer sun.
The music was upbeat but mellow and the volume was just right.
The service was entertaining but professional. The food was great sized portions and carefully curated. The wine we ordered was absolutely top shelf while being very reasonable in price, the waiter made an excellent recommendation.
