Fantastic vantage point however the stairs and wall prohibit access to top and bottom due to refurbishment. You can still get down to the lower level (beach) via the gardens adjacent.

Beautiful area with great history. Some stairs to walk up if you at the beach side.

Beautiful views and well maintained. A little dark and scary at night, bring a flash light for the stairs.

Very pretty. Not busy. Toilets available and they were clean. Steps down to the lower port beach area. No access ramp possible for wheelchair.

Awesome view! If you are in Portugal as a tourist, it is necessary to go there especially at night and enjoy the view of the city lights and the sound of the ocean, during the day it is still beautiful because you can see huge long beaches and water, a great observation deck

Stunning Views
Great little castle with fantastic views over the harbour and beach, there is a little bit of history to see and of course a cannon for pictures. There are very clean public toilets that are free to use.

Nice to see once if you are in the area.
We were on holiday in the area and came across this. With 2 young children there are a lot of stairs, but luckily my kids (5 and 7) were able to walk well. When you get to the top you have a nice view. And at the bottom you reach the beach.
