My two friends and I visited Gamboa on Friday 16 January 2026 at lunchtime. We were very happy to get a table without a reservation as we could see how busy it was. We were made very welcome and were surprised and thrilled with the food and service provided. We joined the proprietor in a few songs when he appeared with his guitar. I don't think there are many visitors who can match our stay of almost 7 hours. We loved it all. Thank you Xavier and your fantastic singer.

Our big group of about 30 were served very efficiently despite the place being very busy at lunchtime. For what I paid I cannot fault the service or food. I would definitely go there again.

Excellent in every respect. The fish, we chose sea bass and bream, served boned or boneless, was wonderful, and at a very reasonable price. The house wine, red and white, was excellent and inexpensive. The staff were exceptionally friendly and professional. We sat out in a smallish enclosed garden…

We recently dined here as a family of 5 and was our first visit. Food was excellent from starters to desserts and excellent value for money. Staff were very friendly and lovely atmosphere in the restaurant. Will definitely visit again soon as all 5 of us thoroughly enjoyed it.

A super evening, which felt really Portuguese. The owners are brilliant fun and the live music was great. A free port at the end was a great touch and the couvert at the start were very traditional and yummy.
