We only needed a light snack as we were heading for an afternoon vineyard tour and tasting, so chose to have a beer and toastie. I had cheese and ham, and my wife had cheese and pickle (Branston). Both were excellent with warm and pleasant service. Great place to sit and watch the people toiling up and down to the castle, most stopping to photograph each other in the adjacent gateway.

I finally had the “cream tea” here in Portugal that I’ve been craving since I got back from Edinburgh! It was so good that I also bought a pork & apple pie to take home! Highly recommend Halfway Cafe for homemade goodies, including scones with clotted cream and jam! 😋♥️

A true gem of Silves. Halfway between the river and the castle, this is a great stop for anyone visiting Silves. The drinks are cold, the food is fresh, and the atmosphere is second to none.
