Inevitável Wine Bar

We were so glad our friends were able to get dinner reservations here, as it was easily the best meal we had in the Algarve. We ordered the seasonal "5 Moments" menu with wine pairing. The 5 courses were a mango gazpacho; a traditional salt-cured tuna "prosciutto" with fresh bread; sea bass over saffron risotto; venison with a red wine sauce, buckwheat "risotto" and huacatay; and a duo of desserts: sweet potato cheesecake with cinnamon ice cream and a spiced crumble, plus a nut brickle-topped blondie with maple toffee and white chocolate ice cream. In addition, we were served an amuse-bouche of hummus tartlets with Azorean cheese, local honey and sea salt, as well as a palate-cleanser of yoghurt ice cream with chopped Kit Kats before dessert. Everything was incredibly delicious, and the owner/sommelier clearly enjoyed describing each course and each unique wine. At €90 per person with wine (or €55 without), it was a very worthwhile splurge.

We went here as a couple and tried the "5 moments" menu with the wine pairing. The food was absolutely divine, the wine was exceptional and the waiter went above and beyond. We left feeling fulfilled and happy. I truly recommend going here!

We went for a dinner here last Wednesday and the place did not disappoint. The decor and atmosphere is cosy and warm. Perfect for an evening meal. The owner was friendly, welcoming and informative about the history of the dishes we had.

The standouts for me were the potato soup, the prawns (sauce to die for) and the venison.

The food was fantastic and had lots of flavour and complexity.

We had such an incredible experience! Andre and Beatriz are so passionate and this is reflected right through their creative dishes. Every bite was so inspired and had depth of flavours. Andre was personable, described each dish thoroughly and provided us with perfect wine pairings. This was a Michelin experience. Thank you so much for an unforgettable night!

An outstanding dining experience. A must do if you are visiting the Algarve. The food and atmosphere are excellent but the service tops its all. Andre was a fountain of knowledge about both the food and wine. The food was exceptional and the wine was perfectly paired. He went above and beyond for us, even suggesting other local restaurants and ringing to make the reservation for us.
We wish both him and his wife all the best of luck for their future and we can’t wait to see what other fantastic dishes they create.
