I went to Metropole Restaurant after reading the positive reviews, and I had to come back here to say how amazing my experience was. It’s one of the rare places where you can order anything from the menu and be confident it will be delicious. The customer service was standard.

We found this place on whim while we were walking up from a sunset on the beach. Beautiful atmosphere, service was amazing. The staff realized it was absolutely our first time at their establishment and gave us amazing suggestions. Banger after banger. 100% would recommend. We had the carpe diem and it was the best thing I have ever eaten ever. I was there eating, happy dancing. 10/10. Truffle mashed potatoes and salad as a side were very complimentary to the steaks.
We didn't have enough room for dessert, however, dessert wine was a must. Our server provided us with great suggestions so that we could experience some amazing Portuguese wines - a moscatel and a Tawny port wine. Thank you so much ! Obrigado !

Had a great experience at this restaurant. It was very crowded, but they had enough space for a table of four. The waiters were great at taking care of the customers. They seemed stressed, but still made sure to have a good time with us - chat and have a laugh - to which I really appreciate. The food was something else than what I have tried before. Portions were maybe a little too big, but it was fun to try something new, and it tasted great! Would definitely come again.

We went here for Valentine's day and it is such a good idea for a romantic evening. We arrived at the right time as it started to get full much later so we either recommend booking in advance or getting there before 20h.
We were greeted warmly at reception and were given a table quite quickly. Listen to the suggestions by the waiters and if you're adventurous try what they recommend. I had a good aperitif suggestion and I wasn't disappointed. My husband was a little disappointed with his cocktail but this was quickly rectified. The staff are very proactive and attentive as well as open to chatting and exchanging pleasantries.
We had a steak platter to share with 3 sides. The best we've ever tasted! And the Charlie and the Chocolate factory dessert was phenomenal! Highly recommend this restaurant. Good quality and good service! Special thanks to the staff for a wonderful experience!
