This review is of the hike on Rota Do Pico Da Vila that leads to San Sylvester chapel. We decided not to make the extra loop due to time. This was a 6.2 miles hike. Thee are so many views of the river, vineyards and local villages. During our hike an elderly couple came out to talk and between our Spanish, broken Portuguese and our broken German (they are Portuguese but lived in Germany for 25 years) we struck a conversation. They invited us and we accepted port and cake. They were wonderful people and these experiences you can’t reserve on Expedia so it was a special time for us. The hike is worth it.
