Amazing views of both Povoação and Furnas. The roads to this lookout are narrow and winding, with the road coming from EN 2-1A being well paved, but the back road down into Povoação (M1042 & M525) is in pretty tough shape with many pot holes and loose gravel. Worth every white-knuckled moment though. I highly recommend renting a car or motorcycle if you are so inclined and making this trip. We went in the morning and the visibility was excellent.

Breathtaking views down on the town of Furnas and the Lagoa das Furnas.
A must see stop if travelling through the interior of the island.
Small parking lot but plenty of room as people come and go for the view, and a 15 second walk to the lookout of the lake and town of Furnas.
