Nau Catrineta Hugo is a proper "Mom & Pop" diner where English is limited, but the hospitality is fluent.
We walked in as tourists and left as adopted family members. Despite the language barrier, we communicated perfectly. They treated our little one like royalty, showering them with treats and even got toys from the vending machine on the house.
We ordered the steak, which turned out to be pork. It was not a steakhouse cut, but tasty. Then we got a Ham&Cheese Tostas, which would have been enough to feed the family.
We washed it all down with dangerously cheap beer while Porto vs. Sporting played on the TV. The vibe was good fun, local passion, cold drinks, and zero pretension.
Verdict: 5 Stars for the soul.

Please go in. It looks very small from the outside, inside it is big with a fantastic view! Very very friendly men. I had a toe injury. They gave me everything for first aid. During this time our children got snacks for free. We ate seafood. Highly recommended !!! Very good price, very good service. Thanks for everything. We will come Back.

The best day in my life I spend it there. Have fun with friends and drink alcohol, play pool 🎱 even if the lady was little bit bad with English she Tried to understand us. The view was amazing . I fell myself at home..so so welcoming place.. one day I will be back ❤

A really nice place with friendly staff and good food. It is a bit further away than the other restaurants, but definitely worth the walk. On the other side of the building there is a little terrace at the beach with a great view over the water, boats, the airport and faro. The man recommended me to eat fish and it was delicious. Service is the best!

Very long service only for payment. In addition we stayed 2 hours waiting for 4 toasts. The lady said she was going to call the assistant and kept working like we didn't exist.

We were made to feel very welcome here and enjoyed the panoramic views and relaxed atmosphere.
We played pool and enjoyed the complementary bar snacks handed out when you buy a drink.

Bar is very traditional. Recommend sitting out the back and watching the activity across the lagoon and airport.
