Oliwander’s restaurant

This was such a lovely dining experience for anyone in the Algarve region. Owned by a husband and wife duo, they run an efficient and warm operation, even while short-staffed. During my time there, I had great cocktails (one of the best Negronis and espresso martinis I’ve ever had), chestnut soup with mushrooms, a complimentary tasting of the bacalhau ceviche, and the bacalhau with prawns, sweet potato and broccolini main. Everything was well flavored and beautifully presented. And when the weather cooled down on the rooftop, I was given a blanket to stay warm. So glad I made the decision to visit this place. Highly recommend!

Small and cozy, delicious food and very friendly staff. We had a great night sitting the rooftop. The owner was very generous and offered us a complementary Amaretto shot. If I'm ever back in Loulé I would visit again

I have to say, this has by far been our best dining experience of our stay. Clearly the atmosphere is immaculate - rooftop terrace, ambient lighting, music, lovely views, clearly Ieva & Daniel put their heart & soul into the place.

Food was delicious, simple as. 10/10.

Service, also wonderful. Despite attending on an evening where the team was short staffed, Ieva was very honest and managed all expectations and brought her personality into every interaction we had. A wonderful person to be around and really did take it from a great meal to an unforgettable one.

A must if you’re staying anywhere in the vicinity!

Honestly one of the nicest meals we’ve ever had. Gorgeous location, storks in view on the nearby chimneys and Harry Potter themed. I had the chicken Caesar salad and my husband had the steak sandwich, both were absolutely beautiful. We will recommend this place to everybody. Thank you so much!

Amazing find! Very small, need to reserve. Very cozy atmosphere, amazing food and very friendly service! Ticked all the boxes. Can’t wait to go back and try other dishes. Don’t find a wow often. This a a wow!
