Man made sea break to help forming and protecting a large estuary . There is a lighthouse at the end of the 950 metre walk to it from the beach end . It is a lovely flat walk /cycle or jog , along the way you’ll see many fishermen/ladies along the rocks. As you walk back on a bright day the view of the town is fantastic.

Nice level walk along this structure, it’s nearly 1 km long, very wide with lovely views of the sea all around there was quite a few fisherman along the sides on the rocks . There’s a lighthouse at the end of the structure . There were people cycling, walking , jogging and skateboarding along the level concrete .

This is a man-made breakwater stretching approximately 500 meters into the sea. It divides the coastline into two sections: to the north lie Praia Velha; to the south is the main section of Praia da Barra. Thanks to the breakwater, the northern beaches tend to have calmer waves compared to the southern side. Walking along the breakwater offers a peaceful and scenic experience, with sweeping views of the ocean. The sunset here is especially renowned for its beauty, as the sky and sea are bathed in warm golden hues.
