Found it by accident. What a wonderful lunch and such friendly owners. A must-visit for authentic Portuguese food. Small and no tourists, only locals.

Nice place to get great tasting char coal grilled fish (and piri piri hot sauce ! 🌶️)Great service, a bit hectic, locals around, buzzing authentic Portuguese place- will def. come again once the squid is back on the menu😊- and for non locals, you can pay by card.

A wonderful warm friendly and “real”restaurant still going strong* after 40 years.
The garlic salted bream fish was delicious.
Add a very good soup salad fries and coffee and you have yourself a great meal for great value!
Excellent family run restaurant.
Kudos!

5* food, service, and atmosphere. You’ll choose from an informal menu of daily specials, fish or meat. For 3 of us to have an opening salad, homemade vegetable soup, 1 flame grilled black pork, 2 traditional piri piri chicken breast, fries, dessert, a bottle of red wine, all cost us €18 each. Our host was generous and a great laugh, he made us feel really welcome. I’m fairly sure it is family owned and run, everyone that works there is a gem. We tipped heavily, this place is no frills and all heart. I’ll be talking about this for a long time and returning as soon as possible.

The best food we’ve had in Portugal! We would highly recommend and will definitely be back in the future!
