This bar is very cool, upon passing by it the first time I looked up the history of the hand collected shells and decided to go the next day for a drink. Wow what a beautiful and unique bar! The bartenders were skilled and made me a delicious ginja sour. I do find that the TV and bar merchandise such as tshirts and magnets ruin the “vibe” a bit but still worth it to pop in for a drink. Thank you for the hospitality ❤️

Unusual bar . Unique decorated with thousands of shells . talked to the owner. His brother got the place in 1981 . spent 4 years collecting shells . Then, it was decorated outside and then inside. Good service 👍

We were staying just up the street from here and visited quite a few times.
Family run and the guys were great. Really friendly and a good laugh. That’s why you go back to these places.
The decor is stunning and was all done by them. It’s not a big place but has a great atmosphere in the evenings, great place for a cocktail.
Would go back again.

A wonderful little pub tucked away from the main streets of old town. The interior is made up of vintage items and traditional fishing town decor including hundreds of seashells around the bar and ceiling and exterior. Super Bock is the main beer with lots of spirits. No food capabilities, drinks only. Outside seating available for the warmer months. Very pleasant device and average prices for old town.

Was visiting when power in Portugal and surrounding countries was out. Bar was closed because they had no power,but owner and employees welcomed us out on the street with snacks they were eating and semi-cold beers. Very nice people to chat with and tour of bar was beautiful.

Very nice bar and a good cocktail selection. But when it was time to pay, they made us go withdraw cash from an ATM because they had no card machine. Ridiculous that this still happens in 2026. What a shame — never again.
