A really calm and not expensive place! We were chocked that it was so calm for being such a cool place, while a few beaches further in Lido it is full of people. It was a
bout 14€ for 2 persons with 2 sunbeds and 1 umbrella included. Easy to go into the sea. There are toilets, changing rooms, lifeguards and a bar. A really nice spot with amazing views. The bar has food and drinks. You can buy a drink and pay a guarantee for the plastic cups to take them to your sunbed.

Amazing tides and diving zone. And perfect tanning zone. You can even use some tools for ur swiming. I recorded under the sea with my gopro. But be careful for the strong tide.

This is a concrete complex where you can hire a sunbed and parasol (or neither if you don't want to). Entrance was 5 euros, and an extra 1.50 euros for the sunbed. It gives you access to a cordoned off part of the ocean, toilets, fresh-water shower and a bar/cafe. The water is often quite choppy there, so I wouldn't recommend it for children, and there's no real beach here to speak of. It was very quiet when I went, which was great, so I used it a few times during my time in the city. Funchal is lacking in decent beaches, so this is a good, functional alternative. There's a great restaurant at the top to retire to afterwards and watch the sun go down.

Fabulous spot for sunbathing and sea swimming. Lifeguard station to keep you safe. Changing, showers and toilets. A lovely wee cafe selling Toasties and drinks. Everything you need for a relaxing day.

If you dislike finding sand everywhere after visiting a beach this place is for you. Fair price, has umbrellas, a snack bar, showers and direct access to the sea. Basically all you need for a lazy day in the sun.
