Praia da Lomba

This riverside beach has a pebble sand with a lots of broken bits of wood which could be cleaner considering the blue flag category!We struggled to drag ourselves away from this beach as it is located in a beautiful spot .There is local cafes and toilet facilities nearby as well as paid car parking bay and lifeguards.There is a well marked area for safe life guard watched swimming but lot of people simply ignoring the safety boundaries It is a beautiful beach by day but the sunset is amazing!! It's a great spot for children .Noisy sound from speed boats and jet skies no control what so ever!!. There are plenty of tables but not enough shade. Once again the people ignore all the rules set out at the spot as there are signs indicating that dogs are not allowed and you can't make noise I saw dogs and crowds of people with their music playing loudly!!! When you leave this spot there are cars parked all over in place that shouldn't even be allowed as it makes the road so narrow and difficult to go passed and make your way through you will be lucky if you don't damage your car!!!This beach would never deserve a five star rating because of what i have described above!! I might return here one day as it's a beautiful spot but my experience was not a good one

That is the beach area with different publicfacilities (there is paid parking (2 € pro day) , showers, toilets, picnic tables, a cafe and a medical center). On the left side of the beach, not far from the cafe, you could find a rental of water equipment (kayaks, paddleboards (6 € pro 30 minutes, quads).
The water on the beach warms up well during the day, so this beach is great for families with children. Among the shortcomings of this recreation area, one can note - a narrow road at the entrance to the parking; in the evening the toilet becomes super dirty; vacationers don't always clean up the beach area after themselves.

Great beach surrounded by a dense forest. Easy to get there.

Great little spot for a non-overwhelming fun. We had to take a taxi boat across to get there and slightly struggled to find the boat, but once we understood the system it was super easy. You have to call and book a time. It was run by I think a dad and a daughter (she spoke English) and cost us 2 euros per person round trip. We went on a Sunday so it was super busy, but they had cafes and shower / toilet facilities, as well as water activity shop and the waits were not that long. We did two water activities, had some ice cream, and came back. Two hours under the sun was plenty of time to enjoy. Not much shade left for us. Jet skiiers are super loud. I have been told that jet skiing here is actually illegal, but it seems like rules are seldomly obeyed here…

As of end of May 2025 the facilities are being renovated, so there is only a very old bathroom which is partly functional.

The beach is pretty great and there are tables on the top.
