Even though access is a bit hard and you have to walk for about 10 minutes on the dunes to reach the beach (unless you have an off-road vehicle, then you just walk 2 minutes). The beach is ample and the sea is rather friendly in comparison to some other places along the coast south of Tagus river (Tejo).
