This is a beautiful beach with beach bars and restaurants close by. It is right at the end of the boardwalk.No sunbeds or toilet in winter but still a brilliant place to take in the sun and scenery. Sea was choppy when we were there so wave hopping was a safer option than swimming. Very handy access from Pestana Praia Alvor hotel. Definitely worth a visit.

This beach is located on a long, wide sandy barrier beach with dunes that are home to various bird species, small mammals, reptiles, and numerous insects.

Facing the sea, you can see delicate plants such as eelgrass, sea alfalfa, and the vibrant sea lily.
On the east side of the beach, the highly sculpted cliffs rise up, with some rocks that jut out into the sea being visible.
At low tide, Prainha Beach is accessible, allowing for cautious hikes through the coves and chasms ...

Beautiful rock formations and cove. A wide, soft sand white beach that stretches all the way to the lighthouse opposite Lagos. Crystal clear water. Lots of pretty shells.

I loved this beach. It's beautiful with all the rock formations down one end and there is a wonderful long boardwalk behind it for a beautiful stroll. The beach is full of shells and there are bars to drink and eat. One of my favorite spots during our visit.
