This place is a hidden gem. I don’t want to write a review to encourage people to find this place, so it’s not busy when I visit next year. But I can’t sit on it.
Let’s start off by saying this place, was the go-to in 40+ heat, the lake water was clear cold & perfect for those hot humid days.
This little gem has picnic areas, a little cafe with food & ice cream, a pool area both deep for swimmers and shallow for the kiddos.
Just a 10 minute drive from janeiro de cima
Be back again next year.

Beautiful place for a picnic. Visited during early September and was quiet. Coffee shop and bathroom facilities on site. Barbecue area with running water next to some picnic tables facing the river. Excellent swimming in the floating swimming pool which was super clean, no slime on the bottom and clear waters. Lifeguard on site. Beach area with shade for those who prefer to sit on the beach. Picturesque spot.
