We came here during our week in Porches, Portugal, specifically looking for beautiful naturist beaches close by. This beach is beautiful, wide sandy area, dunes, and tons of space to walk or spread out. Follow the GPS directions, when you come to the gravel road, go straight ahead to “Praia Grande Nascente”. Park in the big lot, follow the flat boardwalk to the sand, then go towards the right around the big dune to the naturist area. Warm and sunny in early May, somewhat windy, ocean still cold for swimming. No bathrooms or any other services. Bring food and water.

Great beach. Kids loved the wooden walkways which take you down to the beaches. The nature which can be found along these walkways is also very good you may find yourself coming across a lot of birdwatchers.

Beds 20 Euro
20 E 2 beds + umbrella, bit expensive.Public toilets clean, no shower or not working. 4 restaurants. It's not Saint Tropez, Cannes or Ibiza so i don't understand why the price is that high. It's also not high seizon yet.

A nice alternative in the postseason

Great for a family day
I recommend. It has a large sand, the water was clean, no algae and wonderful. My son loved it. There's a soccer field, a volei and a playground. The beach bars are also good, one had live music and the other had dj. It is a very beautiful beach to take a walk, it goes to the Castle.

Jellyfish and seaweed plague
This year was really bad, there were huge jellyfish in the water that made swimming impossible. The beach staff then buried the visible giant jellyfish that had washed up on land. Beware of the pedal boat hire company
Beware and stay away! We rented a pedalo for 1 hour - We we’re never called in by the company and arrived back no more than 5 minute late. For half an hour we were aggressively bullied by 3 intimidating guys for 20 euro for the extra 3/4 mins we stayed out. We left very scared for our safety.
