Restaurant Céu

My partner and I dined here on Sunday and we were absolutely blown away! As a coeliac this restaurant appealed to me as 95% of the menu is gluten free and it is clearly marked up what is gluten free.

The staff were amazing and so attentive recommending we ate an Arepa to start and 2-3 small plates each as a main. The food was absolutely incredible (after watching it be prepared in the open kitchen); as was the experience where the staff explained every element of the dish as it was brought to the table. What was also amazing was that every single dessert was gluten free which is a very rare find!

We also loved that the tables in the restaurant were nice and spaced out, it didn’t feel like they were trying to cram many tables in like at some restaurants.

Chef Sky has created such delicious fusion dishes that we truly enjoyed. The food and service were exceptional.

We started with the chicken and beef arepas. I usually don't like cornmeal cakes, but these were crispy, light and the chicken & beef inside were very flavourful.

We had 4 small dishes after the arepas. All fried dishes were done to perfection: crispy, light and not greasy. The fried cassava (Singkong Goreng) didn't taste starchy, and my partner finished them in no time. The fried octopus were juicy, and the soy ginger glaze complimented the karaage very well.

Our favorite was the tofu bulgogi with mushrooms. My partner is a meat eater but he likes this tofu dish very much. It was the sauce, which the Chef said it's a red chili sauce he created. The rendang dish came with two pieces of beef, which the Chef cooked to different doneness for us (medium rare and well done). The beef sat on top of a bed of silky mashed potatoes, very tasty.

We were too full and only managed to try one dessert. The leche brûlée was different. After you cracked open the top, the flan underneath was bright green because of the pandan. It was smooth and nice.

The staff were amazing, and they were attentive, checking on us to make sure everything was to our liking. We should have listened to our waiter to have two dishes at a time, than all in one go, to make sure dishes stay hot.

Overall, it was an exceptional experience. We highly recommend Céu.

We were lucky to get a table without booking but would recommend you book as it is a small restaurant. The staff were extremely attentive and explained to us what was in each dish we received.
We enjoyed everything we had so much that we booked a table for the following night to celebrate a friend's birthday.
The whole experience was exceptional and you could see that Chef Sky is very passionate about the dishes he creates and we certainly enjoyed all the dishes we ordered.
What makes this place exceptional is the Chefs passion for creating amazing food and the attentiveness from all the staff, what we really appreciated was the fact that Chef Sky took the time to speak to all the customers. I am not keen on vegetables but the broccoli dish was out of this world.
So thank you Chef Sky and all your staff for making it a memorable night and we will definitely visit again the next time we are in Faro.

There are many options to choose from in Faro, so much so it can be overwhelming. I decided to book here and I’m really glad I did and here’s why. It’s very clean, open kitchen, relaxed atmosphere, attentive staff who are friendly. Now on to the menu which is not large but there is something for everyone! Each dish had its unique flavors, blending well with ingredients, colorful and was absolutely delicious! I also had a fish dish which I didn’t take photo of but was also delicious. I finished the night with the ‘little bit of all’ dessert which was quite a lot as well but equally delicious. I will come again next time in town to try the other dishes. Nice talented chef and crew make Céu a visit when in Faro. Thanks again Céu for a great dinner!

It was a nice experience to grab a chance to spend my time here. Very nice service , friendly and attentive staffs. Keep doing up the good jobs :) i would rate the food 11 from 10. very rare and creative to mix different kind of culture together in a perfect combination. Appreciate the hard working job from the kitchen. I would recommend this restaurant when you visit Faro.
