Restaurante Dom Rodrigo

We had a nice time at this small local restaurant, the food was great and the staff was lovely. I would recommend it every time. Please keep in mind that you need cash to pay, at least for us this was the case at the time of the review. Also pets are not allowed inside, on the terrace, no problem.

From the moment we arrived service was exceptional. Food was delicious, the outdoor seating is particularly pleasant and quiet. The only thing I would like is card payment.

Fabulous dinner, great service and warm welcome, traditional setting, slightly remote location, worth the effort, prices good for the quality received, great food and wine.

This off-the-grid restaurant offers quality for a "that" special taste. Owned by two brothers who also own a grocery stand at the local market. The dish I advise is "Pork Cheeks", my favorite, and can't get enough. As for every good restaurant, my advice is always to arrive early, or make a booking in advance. It can get crowded in summer, affecting service.

Dom Rodrigo provides fantastic food and a wonderfully cosy atmosphere, a family run restaurant the staff are superb and all servers are incredibly friendly and helpful.

Typical open hours are 12:30 - 14:30 and 19:30 - 21:30 and I highly recommend booking and arriving slightly earlier to secure yourself a decent parking spot.

I visited this establishment with family (5 of us total) and we each indulged in the provided 'starters' a main meal (each) and two shared desserts. The total of which came to only €135, the price for the portions provided is astoundingly good and I recommend this as a must visit if you are visiting the algarve.
