We visited Jo, Fiona and the team at their new location twice last year (and will be returning again May/June this year too!)
The food is amazing - Jo, Fiona and the team are so welcoming and always have time for you, even in the busiest part of the season/day. The seafood kebab is stunning, steaks that melt in your mouth and desserts (a firm fave with our twin boys) that finish the whole experience off … and that’s what Novo Mundo is all about - an experience!

What a fantastic experience! I had the goats cheese and honey as a starter and the tiger prawn as a main meal! The goats cheese melts in the mouth, absolutely delicious and the tiger prawns was enormous and so tasty!
The service was absolutely perfect, extremely friendly and kind staff who make all of their clients feel so welcome and looked after! (Jorge did an exceptional job at filleting the fish at the table, we really enjoyed watching this!)
Would recommend the Portuguese sausage as a starter, comes to the table on fire (a real show stopper)

Highly recommended by people we met on our holiday and it was very delicious. Best steak we ever ate, and we had many steaks in our lives. Also very friendly people and great ambience It was so good we asked if they had a table available for the other day, so we ate there 2 days in a row.

Incredible food and service - Jo, Fiona and the whole team are so welcoming and accommodating with our 3 month old baby. The steak, salmon with orange sauce and monkfish kebabs were all delicious, with generous portions.

What a delight! Jo and her team are back and delivering delicious food in a beautiful, fresh, new setting in Novo Mundo. We had a great welcome at their new venue, lovely choice of menu and drinks, and walls exhibiting photo art from the talented Stuart Watson! The food and service were superb. The Tomahawk steak deserves special mention- massive and delicious!! Thanks to Fiona, Jorge, Mario, Gonzalez and the whole team. Great to have you back😍

Hungry after a long travel day we ended up here and felt so welcomed that we went here the last night of our trip here too. Super nice tableware that sits down and tells us about tonight's menu and the best meat I've eaten in a long time. Tiger shrimp and beef fillet is a must! Thanks!

Eating in the New World is eating in "family". The space is beautiful, clean and very nice. Staff 5* and the food is served with refinement at a fair price. High quality fresh products. This restaurant is a mandatory point of passage, in the village of Ferragudo.
