Restaurante Pigs and Cows

A great spot run with passion by an extremely nice couple. Small kitchen, well thought-out seasonal menu, offering good variety despite having few items (I consider this a big plus). Food was excellent. Special mention for the shrimp curry, which was very original and exceptionally flavourful, so much so that I ordered one for myself after trying my partner's. Also got to try a coffee and pepper sauce on my (perfectly cooked) steak, which was equally original and interesting. The owners run the place themselves and are exceptionally warm. Truly honest, homemade food. Would absolutely recommend.

What shall I say... We've been there as a couple and it was more a coincidence. We didn't know what to expect as we were just hungry and wanted something to eat and it was in the opposite of the hotel.

I need to say, it was an amazing experience from the start to the end. Very friendly couple, with a great background story. The food was delicious even knowing that both came out of a different career.
It is a loving room atmosphere and we felt very welcome from the beginning, even it was late and we didn't have a booking.

I highly recommend this place and it's only 2 streets from touristic place located.

Even the doors on the cupboards align now a bit better 😉

We went here on our last day in Faro and it was one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. The owners of the restaurant are so welcoming and lovely. They bring French and Portuguese cuisine with a mix of Asian and African influences which can be seen in the different varieties of dishes. The food was amazing, my personal favourite was the Tuna Taco,absolutely delicious and highly recommend. The steak was equally amazing as well. The rice curry had a strong banana flavour which kinda threw me off but regardless it was a great experience and dessert were in point with the vodka lemon sorbet and the crème brûlé. We booked a reservation via their email and arrived slightly early than our reservation but they were more than accommodating. Its a small venue but it feel really nice and cosy and since we were early, we were the only people there for a while, it felt like a personal fine dining experience. If you are in Faro, I would absolutely recommend to book a reservation. You'll be supporting the local and the husband and wife duo are so sweet and welcoming. Definitely coming back here in the future.

Such a special experience- stunning food, stunning staff, and the vibe was just exceptional. The way the staff explained and talked about each meal on the menu was so helpful and interesting. Service was outstanding and so was the taste of each dish.

Amazing food, great service, intimate setting and a lovely atmosphere. I cannot fault anything we got, the flavours were superb. If you’re in Faro you definitely need to try this place. I hope to get back soon. Thank you for a lovely evening.
