I have literally flown internationally to eat this sandwich again. Small local place, the owners are super welcoming, kind people who clearly know how to make delicious food. The ratio of their slow cooked meat / coleslaw / cheese / bread, especially with their homemade tangy hot sauce, is just perfection. So fresh and yummy. Add a cold beer and you’re in heaven. I got mine takeaway this time as I was catching a train, but have eaten in before and it’s a cosy local atmosphere. HIGHLY recommend !!!!

Best sandwich in Faro.
I've been coming to Ponto Smokehouse for four years and visit fairly regularly. They smoke their pork in-house for 9 hours, and the flavour and quality are outstanding. The value is unbeatable, though it’s good to see they’ve recently raised their prices, long overdue for the amount of work this husband-and-wife team puts in. The house-made chilli sauce is incredible and packs a real punch. Service is friendly and welcoming.
No one else in Faro is doing what they do, and I wish them continued success.

I was traveling from Faro train station towards Lisbon when I found this Bar, which was the nearest option. I had a vegetarian sandwich, and it was so fresh, honestly the best I’ve had during my trip. The lady who works there was incredibly nice, kind, and gentle. She also offered me a spicy sauce that was unlike any other I’ve tried; it had hints of pineapple, carrot, and chili. It was delicious, and you can even buy it at the bar. If I ever come back to Faro, I would never miss this charming little spot.

Delicious pulled pork sandwiches served at a small restaurant with a few tables, or for takeaway. Great friendly service. Right opposite the train station and down the road from the marina area. Well worth it. Thank you Google/AI for suggesting such a brilliant place!
