We recently had the pleasure of discovering Zip Zip, a newly taken over gem in the Algarve, and it was honestly one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in over 20 years of visiting Portugal.
Run by the lovely Marco, a local Portuguese, and his wonderful English wife, Vicky, Zip Zip offers a simple, welcoming atmosphere where the focus is firmly on fantastic food and heartfelt service. Every dish we had was bursting with flavour – some of the tastiest we’ve ever enjoyed in the region. You can truly feel the love and passion that goes into every plate.
A special touch was when the chef herself, clearly so proud of her creations, came out to personally ask how we enjoyed everything – a rare and lovely gesture that made the evening even more memorable.
If you’re in the Algarve and looking for delicious food in a relaxed and friendly setting, we can’t recommend Zip Zip highly enough. We can’t wait to go back!

Amazing experience! We have been here 3 times a row ! Every time it was delicious!
We can recommend the sea bass, the octopus salad, the Black porc, the sangria and desserts such as Misto Algavo!
All cakes and pies are self made and are just delicious!

Super delicious typical food from the Algarve.
The location is not the best, but the food is very good, and the owners as well as the staff are extremely accommodating.
We would gladly come back here!

This is a restaurant just outside our village of Paderne, recently changed owners, food is now very good, I've had one of the best Tbone steaks in Portugal

Just back from a fantastic meal. Great prices as well. Very good atmosphere. Couldn’t ask for better service. Very helpful staff. Now under new ownership and they are doing a great job. Will definitely be back

So let's go - ordered some grilled sardines. The recommendation of the house. I asked how they were and they said they were super cool.
