ROOTS Aljezur

We came across this place whilst looking for somewhere that permits dogs inside as it was winter and it’s very difficult to find anywhere in Portugal that’s dog friendly. We walked in and were delighted at how it looked and felt. It was quiet so we had no problem finding a seat - lots of floor cushions and low seating, felt very cosy and comfortable. We both had a smoothie with a choice of plant milks and I had the most delicious Samosa with a fruity sauce and my husband had the quiche with salad all looked super fresh and homemade. The member of staff was really nice and efficient and prepared all the dishes herself. I liked that she cleaned as she worked to keep her prep space clean. It’s not often you can watch the food prep. I’d recommend this place to all types of diets and would most definitely come back again. Thanks you 🙏

Nice atmosphere, dog friendly cafe. Friendly stuff and lots of vegan and gluten free things to choose from. It is really cosy. Food was also good. I was not a huge fan of the lemonade but I loved the hot chocolate with sirup.

The place for vegetarian/vegan people, but everyone should try it. Everything was perfect, I enjoyed especially the tofu salty cake

Absolutely love this place! Very eco friendly and they use the best fresh fruits and vegetables. Cakes are lovely and the breakfast options are phenomenal! Lots of coffee options 10/10

We loved this place! They serve plant-based, organic food, and I believe everything is sugar-free too. I was so happy to discover this gem. The food tastes amazing—the açaí bowl with all the toppings and the maca latte with soy milk are my favorites. I also highly recommend the homemade kombucha, as well as the sweet and savory waffles, dumplings, and quiche. Portion sizes vary, which I actually appreciate. If you’re really hungry, go for the bowls or waffles—the dumplings and quiche are a bit smaller.
