Had food here twice during our short stay and it didn’t disappoint. Portions were generous and everything we tried was good. Mango lassi was delicious and there’s quite a few things to try. Staff were friendly. Would recommend if you’re staying around here.

Excellent food. Flavors well used. We only ordered what we could finish without throwing food away. Nothing was a problem. Nice service

Wonderful! Small restaurant just off the waterfront. Indoor and scenic outdoor seating, and very good service and delicious food. The papadum was wonderfully light and crispy, with a tamarind sauce that was delicious. My chicken korma was also delicious, with a very flavorful sauce and tender chunks of chicken. Finally, the garlic naan was light but flavorful and soft enough to work well with the sauce.
It was a delicious meal!

Restaurants like this only serve to remind me there are crap Indian restaurants where I live.
We had an enjoyable evening. Highly recommend the Lemon Soup.
All the food we ordered were exceptional.
(Please bear in mind that English is not the mother language of most workers in Portugal. Another review posted by "BV" suggest the restaurant was trying to deceive him, I highlydoubt that).

Absolutely love this place. The food is consistently delicious. If you're a fan of heat, try the Vindaloo. Bursting with flavour with a great (but not overpowering) kick of spice. The naan breads are fab too.
And the service is brilliant, always making us feel at home. Definitely recommend Royal Indian!

Horrible guest service. First refused to put 2 tables together and then changed their minds. Then was rude when tryin to order. Very nonchalant and rude. When we were going to pay they said we couldn’t pay with card so we had to take out cash which came with a extra fee. They didn’t care. They also…

If you’re prepared to wait 45 mins for food and then be told one of the starters you ordered is not available, then this is the place for you.
We paid for the drink and left. So disappointing, as we had booked Uber from Tavira to come here and then had to leave, paying Uber again, without food. Won…

Having lived on the 'Curry Mile' in Manchester, I have been fortunate to taste some amazing Indian, Bengali and Pakistani food.
Now living in Tavira, Portugal, I have found it difficult to eat authentic, until now. Many restaurants using the same base with little distinction. Thankfully, we really …

We hadn’t made a table reservation anywhere in Cabanas and tried the Royal Tandoori on the off chance.
We were warmly welcomed and meal was good with a very good variety of choices and cost very reasonable.
Would definitely return.
