So glad to have lunched at Lucia’s during our visit to Almancil - the vibe is very homely and her energy is unmatched. Also enjoyed meeting and chatting with some great people while we dined there.
The food was very flavourful and we ate to our heart’s content. I wish I had more room to sample more of the items on their menu , as that’s just how good it was.
Most memorable dishes for us were;
The quail in wine & corriander 🙌🏾
Truffled Goat Cheese roll👌🏾
The stew and mash was also out of this world
Kudos to Chef Lucia and her team.

Authentic Algarvian chef, formerly of elite Pine Cliffs resort. Great presentation, ingredients, combinations and taste. Wonderful wine list, by glass and bottle!

Fantastic, affordable food in the Almancil area of the Algarve. The staff were super friendly and every bite was delicious. Tons of wine to choose from, and lots can be ordered by the glass. We had the table-side flamed chorizo (incredible!) and both had the pork cheeks (fork-tender and delicious). 10/10 we almost went twice!

It was a wonderful meal! The atmosphere was great as was the service! I had the vegan mushroom rice! It was delicious! My friends had the lamb shanks and pork cheeks. Both dishes were excellent! We will definitely be back!

We had a lovely time last night at Taberna. The service was exceptional and our server was passionate and went above and beyond to help us as much as possible. We were allowed to try multiple wines each of which were explained to us so we picked the perfect ones for us.
The food was excellent and we all thoroughly enjoyed a few starters to share and then enjoyed a variety of lovely local classic dishes.
Would highly recommend it to anyone in the area for an enjoyable evening sure to satisfy.

Little professionalism.
We paid 2 cataplanes and served us 1. We ordered 1 pargo cataplana and 1 tamboril. Served 1 with mixed fish. Lamentável.
No dessert menu. When we asked about fruit “they would see what was in condition”. Not to repeat.
