Location location! On the beach in Praia del Faro, we were lucky to get a recommendation from Bago Wine bar and took the ferry boat over from Faro for sunday lunch. Turn left and follow the sea. Always very friendly, the food is so delicious and fresh. I had Sardines my wife and friend had Dorada. Lip smacking beyond belief Algarve on a plate. Highly recommend. We go every time we visit Portugal it’s a true gem.

Discovered this hidden treasure on the beachfront and so glad we did. Very rustic. Food divine and excellent service. Hubby had tuna belly. I had sea bass. Both came with boiled potatoes, garnish and a beautiful salad. We had house white wine which was cold and delicious x

Grilled tuna belly! At 12 years I come here and I will continue to come, with family or alone! Really good.
Why choose another option when over all these years the quality remains, with improvements from year to year and with fantastic views and prices.

Even with my foot in the sand. Zé Maria is that unpretentious "tasca", where you never eat badly. The fish is always very fresh and are some champions in the art of grilling, at the point, accompanied by a tomato salad as it should be and a good homemade bread.
