A Proa

I and my partner had lunch here. Service quite kind. We waited for the dishes for a while a reasonable time according to what we ordered.
I would want to point out the attention and service which was spoiltless. Maybe the dishes need to be a bit better, since fish was not fresh instead of unfrozen. You could tell the difference.
As dessert we ordered a kind of pie made of Fig jam on top, almond marzipan and on a base of carob sponge cake. Simply delicious.

Charming Ambiance marred by Tourist Trap Prices
This quaint restaurant exudes traditional Portuguese charm, offering classic regional dishes. The staff is friendly and welcoming, but the prices are a shock. €18 for a simple plate of secretos de porco is outrageous, especially in an area known for targeting tourists with inflated prices. The sardines, a Portuguese staple, were disappointing, tasting like they were grilled electrically instead of on a traditional coal grill. It's a shame because the atmosphere is lovely. Look elsewhere for a more authentic and affordable Portuguese experience.

We eat here last Friday Excellent place to eat. We don’t speak Portuguese but a very helpful young man discussed the menu with us and looked after us well. We enjoyed the music they had laid on.

A Proa is a small and lovely traditional Portuguese restaurant. The staff and the owner are very welcoming and are genuinely happy to see you and to talk to you. The food is delicious, fresh and very good portions. The dourada is excellent! The deserts are superb, a tarte de 3 sabores is particularly remarkable. Highly recommended.

Simple food but delicious and great service. We had the grilled steaks which were tender and tasty, lamb chops again super tasty and grilled prawns (with skins on) my 2 year old had the soup which was vegetables and beans (blended). Staff were friendly and attentive. Would highly recommend
