My parents and I stopped in for a late lunch after touring the Fortaleza de Sagres. As tourists, we were hoping for an authentic local meal, and the husband and wife of this establishment served that and more.
I ordered the stuffed squid, which was the daily special and something unique to the region. It was delicious and cooked perfectly. The husband brought us a small appetizer of carrots prepared traditionally for us to try. My mom enjoyed a warming bowl of fish soup and my dad opted to give the ribs a taste.
The food was terrific and the service was above and beyond what we expected. We felt very welcome and enjoyed our meal thoroughly.

Best restaurant and best food I’ve had since we’ve been in Portugal. The owner was our server and was fantastic. Excellent food and great service. I can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed the whole dining experience. I highly, highly recommend this restaurant.
