Bar Mellow Loco

great atmosphere even on a Monday! owned by really nice people

My girlfriend and I stopped into this bar, randomly one night. It’s a cool area of town. Close to chill places to eat and some other cool bars.

We met the owner, who was an awesome guy. He graciously gave my girlfriend and I two of their T-shirts, after I initially offered to buy them. He said, and I quote,” It’s not always about money. I just want you guys to have a great time.” I tried to pay him multiple times and he wouldn’t let me.

He was playing a great song list, he kept the drinks flowing, and his staff were friendly and very interesting. They all had some cool backgrounds.

Year after year when I come to surf in Lagos and surroundings I always make sure to go to Mellow Loco, my fav bar in Lagos for music, people, shots, vibe. Just the best one out there!

Excellent old schools bar. There is a pool table, lots of places to lounge and non-stop surfing videos for you to enjoy! Very friendly atmosphere. The owner is the nicest guy - they don't serve tea, but my wife got really cold during a cold spell in the spring, he went out of his way, went to his house and brought her tea! That guy is a hero we need. Aside from that, the bartender concocted a drink for me - it was basically an old fashioned with ginger, honey and lemon - it was freaking delicious. I suggested he call it the "honeybadger" - if you see that on the menu after this date, you can thank me for the name 😄 I will certainly be coming back again.

Awesomely cool bar! Everything was glow in the dark and neon. Pints of cocktails for 6-8 euros. This place also came alive at night and seemed like a little hot spot for younger locals.
