We stopped for a quick light lunch and this place was spot on.
We sat in the square under canopies and watched the world go by while we waited for our food.
My cheese omelette was cooked beautifully, others had the squid, burger and Piri Piri chicken all were very tasty and thoroughly enjoyed by those who ate them.
Oh, the almond tart and the apple tarts were delicious as well.
Both service and food were very good.

Ate here twice while staying in Monchique, friendly service and good value and tasty down-to-earth food and drinks! Can sit in front of the Cafe or the umbrella area in the middle of the square - wife had the sardine salad and rated it 5/5

Fantastic little spot in the heart of a beautiful town. Fresh cooked food that is as delicious as the smiles that greet you. The owner has a wonderful sense of humour and the prices are affordable for frequent visits. Highly recommend trying the pig cheeks or the omelettes… my husband loves the fish and chips. ;)
