We went there to eat fish dishes near the river. I think it is a treasure. For me it was very tasty fresh fish in tempura with authentic Portuguese puree from bread/garlic/shrimps. The desserts were amazing also. I could not choose only one. Everything looked spectacular. The service was warm and attentive.

A great experience! We started with sobre breaded octopus fritters, and they were delicious. Then we ordered razor clam rice and codfish soup, and they were fantastic, especially the razor clams. We ended with sobre typical desserts from Algarve: carob and orange tart and almond pudding. The service was great, staff were friendly and nice.

The food and wine at Cantarinha do Guadiana are excellent. We particularly like the Monkfish Rice with Prawns. The wine list is extensive. The service is professional, attentive but not bothersome. On a Sunday evening in October after a very stormy afternoon, the restaurant filled up but was quiet and relaxed.
