Casa do Chefe

Had such a lovely time at Casa do Chefe. Amazing service from José and the whole team. The food was delicious and truly homemade. It’s great to see places that take pride in their story and traditional cuisine.

Absolutely fantastic food, staff were brilliant, went back three times on our holiday including the black out could not fault anything, well done, looking forward to a return visit or three later in the year

We had the perfect date night and dinner in that hidden gem. We found the restaurant on Google and it was close to our hotel.
We ordered the delicious hot tomato soup and garlic bread as starter. For main I ordered the steak and my partner ordered the salmon - both dishes were very well cooked and flavourful. We couldn't resist ordering the apple Tarte and shared it and it was the perfect ending. service was very friendly and attentive. We also ordered the recommended rose wine and even took a picture as it was very good. We would def. recommend to friends and family and if we are back one day, we will revisit again.

The menu is extensive and the food was excellent. I was part of a large group who ate here twice, we sampled most of the menu and everyone was very impressed with their meals.
The staff were really friendly and we had a good fun with them.
The food was good value for money, and we even got a free glass of port to wash it all down.

Amazing little restaurant. The food was absolutely lovely. We visited in August while on holiday as a family ( with two young teen daughters). The general ambiance was cool and calm and very friendly. Our waitress was delightful-it was her restaurant-and very discreetly attentive. She spent time describing the dishes and offering her recommendations to each of us. Honestly, a really lovely place to visit, it felt like we had found a little hidden gem. Next time we visit the area it'll be out first port of call!
