What a great experience !! The food - the service are without any doubt Michelin star level - if in portimao do book your place - very intimite - only 11 places where you are part of the magic !

How is it possible to have every course nicer than the previous.
The best food experience we've ever had with 2 amazing chefs who deserve a Michelin star. Would recommend anyone who wants to experience some of the best food to be served in Portugal.

The true Gastronomic Theatre and you are in the front row watching the chef performing his magic! We had a set menu of 6 dishes, each of them came with the twist. Home smoked mackerel was great, for a beef tartare they brought real pickolino cheese from Italy, and elaborate sauces for nearly each dish took my mind away. Catarina is telling you what is in the dish with passion and you feel absolutely drawn away with this eating experience .

This restaurant offers a truly special setting: a maximum of 12 guests are seated around the kitchen, providing an exclusive front-row view of the chef in action. Watching each dish come to life is part of the magic.

We chose the eight-course tasting menu and can confidently say that the quality is exceptional, each dish is crafted with precision and care. The hostess enhances the experience with clear and passionate explanations of every course.

However, one aspect did impact our overall comfort: the seating. At 1.86m tall, sitting upright was a challenge, and by the end of the evening, my knees were sore. The stools are not designed for long meals, and after eight courses, this became quite noticeable.

We would strongly suggest a redesign of the seating area, extending the bar by about 20 centimetres and investing in more ergonomic stools would make a world of difference. At this point, the seating is a reason we would hesitate to return, especially as it’s not suitable for older guests like my 85-year-old mother.

That said, we still highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who is physically comfortable with bar-style seating and wants to enjoy food of the highest quality. It’s a remarkable dining experience for those who can handle a bit of discomfort for the sake of culinary excellence.

I had the tasting set here yesterday and it was absolutely delicious! Every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor. The service was friendly and professional, and the atmosphere felt relaxed and elegant. Definitely a great place for a special meal — highly recommended!
