If you want authentic and where the locals eat - but would love to also be welcomed... Come here! Super fresh, tasty and plentiful on the portion sizes - great value too for the whole package. I had the arroz de polvo.
Traditional rice dishes, grilled meats, and more.
Clean, comfortable, friendly and welcoming. Couldn't ask for more.
(You can reserve a table ahead - would recommend if you're coming at a busy / popular time; it fills up fast, which is a great sign too).

Found this restaurant by accident on our recent exploration of Vila Real de Santo Antonio and we're glad we did! The food was very good (had a couple of the pratos do dia [plates of the day]) and the atmosphere had a good, local feel (with plenty of local patron supporting that feeling).
The service was very good and they were very patient with our limited Portuguese.
Again, very good find. Recommended.
