You don't really need the man made metal structure to appreciate the beauty of the Douro below you stretching East and West from this viewpoint. Only a few parking spaces but people are coming and going all the time.

One of the best places to view the river and the wine region. The wood boat shape balcony hanging over the cliff and gives you the feeling like you're in the water. It's a perfect place for a Titanic style pictures. After a fun photo shoot, we stopped by the fresh fruits stands and loaded up with fresh figs and grapes for the road.

Don’t miss this view point if you’re in Douro valley by car. You can see the river from right to left, as well as the tremendous number of wine yards.

This viewpoint is simply stunning. San absolutely gorgeous unobstructed panoramic view of the Douro river and surrounding areas. The pull over area is also quite nice and safe. There is a little ledge that is reinforced that you can walk onto to be able to take more amazing shots. Definitely worth seeking this spot out, it’s breathtaking!
