We had a great dinner here! Since the restaurant was right near our hotel, we stopped by spontaneously and were lucky enough to get a table without a reservation. The service was very friendly right from the start.
The food was particularly impressive: The appetizer (Mackerel with beetroot and remoulade) was an unusual combination that you don't find often and was excellent! For the main course, the Duck Leg is highly recommended. The sweet finish with Crème Brûlée and Chocolate Mousse was also top-notch.
All in all, highly recommended! Just one small tip for the team: It would be great to put a sign on the entrance door stating that it can only be opened from the inside, we were a bit confused standing in front of it for a moment. ;) definitely would come back!

A great find in one of the backstreets. We didn't book, but they managed to seat us. Very nice staff, even though they were really busy. Took their time to chat and run through the menu.
We had bread and olive starter to share followed by the goats cheese salad (amazing flavours).
The lamb tagine was fantastic. My wife had fish (can't remember the name) but it had prawns and mussels in a sauce. Very nice.
We didn't have room for pudding. But the house white wine went down very well.
It came to around €64. Which is more than we'd usually want to pay for a meal out, but it really was worth the extra. Sometimes you do get what you pay for

Just had an incredible dinner at this charming, family-owned gem in the heart of Tavira, Portugal. We started with the beet and goat cheese salad — a delicious mix of grilled goat cheese, beets, caramelized onions, garlic, and fresh greens. Every bite was perfectly balanced and full of flavor.
For our mains, we had the stone bass and the seabream with shrimp and mussels. Both dishes were bursting with freshness and came out piping hot from the kitchen — absolutely fantastic.
We ended the night with their homemade apple and berry crumble served with vanilla ice cream — the perfect sweet finish to a truly memorable meal.
Highly recommend this spot if you’re in Tavira — authentic, delicious, and full of heart!

Wow! My new favourite restaurant in Tavira.
How did we not know this was here?
Loved the friendly, welcoming hospitality from Lenia (the owner?).
We had such a lovely evening with our friends who have been here a few times.
Amazing food. Wow!! Mackerel bruschetta to start, then sea bream (incredible!), duck, lamb and pork and then choc mouse, lemon sorbet, apple crumble… all of it was totally delicious !!
Highly recommended!! Thank you so much. We will be back soon.

Great find!! Very friendly efficient service. Beer was really well chilled. We had Garlic Prawns followed by the best Slow cooked lamb shanks. Absolutely delicious. And very reasonably priced.

Nikita isn’t a restaurant you’d stumble upon as it’s on a back street, however if you do you won’t be disappointed! Probably our best meal of our Tavira Holiday. I had the lamb shank and it was beautiful, others in my party had fish and it was superb. Definitely worth a visit

During our stay in Tavira this was our favourite restaurant. Although the food is impressive and generous and delicious and well presented, it still feels very grounded, local and friendly! The staff work very hard at serving the lovely mix of locals and visitors.

Recommended strongly by a friend and he was spot on. 12 gentleman golfers booked and ordered food in advance. It was so good we went back 2 nights later. Great standard of food and very well presented. Between us we tried most starters and mains. Particular favourites were goats cheese and smoked m…

We cannot recall going to a restaurant where we could have chosen every single item on the menu from appetisers through to desserts. We were not disappointed with our eventual selections including a delightful harissa tuna steak and our 17 year old son loved the wild boar meatballs. The welcome and…
