Brilliant evening meal here, we sat outside this gave a great atmosphere to the evening. We were served quickly and the service stayed perfect all evening. All of the food was delicious no one had anything to complain about and the chips were to die for. You have to book though, it’s very busy we saw quite a few disappointed customers who couldn’t get a table.

I'm delighted with the exceptional cuisine and service I received at O Velho Novo for dinner. Our server was highly attentive and friendly. They greeted us promptly and accurately explained the menu. The Portuguese dishes were incredibly flavorful. I especially enjoyed the outdoor seating. The table at the end of the alleyway was the best in the house, offering a sense of privacy

It is a cozy and warm restaurant. The service Diogo gave was friendly and attentive. I had the frango assado with piri-piri and batatas fritas. Being an American and eating the chicken we produce there, just starting off with that, no comparison. Their chicken is tastier. The chicken was roasted over either coals or wood because it had that flavor. The piri-piri was not overdone but gave it a nice spicy touch. Wife had the picanha and she liked it, it was tender and tasty. We were introduced to Brazilian picanha and this is not that, but it is delicious in its own right. Fries were crispy. Washed it down with a Super Bock. Wonderful experience, service and food. It was packed by 8:30 on a Tuesday; you may want to reserve ahead of time.
